Hello world.
The last time I blogged was years ago. Now that blogging has gone truly out-of-fashion, I thought it was prime time to get back into the business. The reason I started this blog is to chronicle my life as a worker - both professionally and as a worker for the gospel. Today, I have made a commitment to be part of a training program in church where they are trying to train the "next generation of leaders" who can handle and teach the Word of God. I have always been thankful for the opportunity to serve in OCF (Overseas Christian Fellowship) Carlton. The fellowship has been a huge part of my life in Melbourne so far, and I have truly grown in Christ through this ministry. From being someone misquoting "The Lord gives and the Lord takes away" in a farewell card to being blessed enough to write Bible studies for OCF, God has been faithful. I have always enjoyed serving in a leadership/teaching role in OCF, and at the same time it is very challenging. As James says that those who teach will be judged more strictly (James 3:1), many times I have had to teach the very things I struggle with - a tame tongue, love for those who are unlovable, purity in thought and action. Nevertheless, I have come to rely on God's grace and sovereignty more and more. So, as I embark on this journey to serve God through my profession, and also in church, I ask for your prayer - that I will continually rely on God to bring glory to His Name.
In Christ,
Zhi Kai
